SaltBlock and the Community We're Building
"SaltBlock catered my husband's 50th birthday party and WELL exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and their unique options for catering (chef's station, slider station, a table turned charcuterie board) were flawless. They did not skimp on anything, including the staff that were sent to assist. Rubio and his team (close to 10 at one point) were wonderful in every regard. While the quote from SaltBlock was the highest one I got, I am so happy we made the decision to use them to cater the event because it was worth every penny!!!"

Looking Past the Plate
“Worth every penny” doesn't happen when a team just shows up and does the job. It happens when the team thinks beyond the dinner.
That's the part worth understanding about SaltBlock. The food is where it starts. But the full experience is how the event is designed, how the details are built around the people in the room, and how every element of the day connects.
A Table in the Middle of Community
We believe hospitality doesn't stop at the event. It shows up in who we cook for, who we partner with, and where we put our energy in Tampa. The harvest dinners at Meacham Urban Farm are one of the clearest examples of this.
Meacham is a regenerative urban farm in downtown Tampa, tucked between the city grid and Ybor City, that has built a genuine community around local, organic food. Last fall and again this spring, SaltBlock and Meacham collaborated to cook a harvest dinner. Guests toured the fields before sitting down to eat. The menu is built around what's ready to be harvested that season: line-caught fish, rotisserie chicken with hatch chile mole, flank steak, all cooked around what the land is offering. Guests arrive to valet, live music, and a communal table that sells out every time it's offered.
For SaltBlock, whose menus are built around seed-oil-free food that starts at the source, Meacham is the kind of partnership that makes our food philosophy visible. Together, the fields and the table are the same conversation.
Where SaltBlock
Shows Up in Tampa
There's a difference between cooking for an event and cooking for a cause.
At a fundraiser for pediatric cancer research, the kitchen's standards don't change. But what they mean does.
SaltBlock has been in those rooms consistently. This spring, we catered the Ryan Callahan Foundation's annual gala, a gathering of Tampa Bay community members supporting children and families navigating pediatric cancer. This summer, we'll be part of Martinis for Moffitt, a fundraiser supporting Moffitt Cancer Center. This fall, we'll be in the kitchen for the Beat Childhood Cancer More Than GOLD Gala at Armature Works, an evening dedicated to funding clinical trials and research.
Every plate at these events is part of something larger than the dinner.
Bring It to Your Table
If this is getting you thinking about your own event, it's worth reaching out. SaltBlock currently has booking specials available across their venue offerings, and a hospitality agent can walk you through what's open and what fits your vision.
The approach is the same whether it's an intimate dinner or a 400-person gala. The food is just the beginning.
