How to Plan a Seasonal Menu for Your Event

Seasonal, farm-to-table dining isn’t just trendy; it’s often tastier, healthier, and more interesting. We can help you plan a seasonal menu that your guests will love no matter what ends up on their plate!

Our menus are structured, but flexible.

You can choose dishes you know your guests will enjoy while still allowing for seasonal touches. Our latest project, SB Farm, is brimming with produce that we can’t wait to incorporate into your special event! In addition to growing our own vegetables and herbs, we’re raising a flock of Cinnamon Queen hens for farm-fresh eggs. We’ll be using them in a crowd-pleasing dessert you don’t want to miss out on!

All of the food was delicious! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved being able to hire someone that uses local ingredients and vendors.

Here are a few ways you can incorporate seasonality and our farm fresh ingredients into your menu

so you can feel confident that your guests will love their meal.

1. Start with an impressive board

Our boards, the Farmers Plate and Salt Flat, are two of our most popular dishes. Each one includes a variety of fresh seasonal vegetables — from juicy cherry tomatoes to crisp watermelon radishes! It’s the perfect accompaniment to our homemade hummus or artisanal meats and cheeses.

2. Go all out with a raw bar

Our raw bar is a fabulous way to incorporate an item most people forget is seasonal — seafood. The raw bar includes oysters on the half shell and other chilled seafood favorites like shrimp cocktail and market fish ceviche. We’ll help you choose the best oysters and freshest fish available!

3. Choose the market fish entree option

Pardon our bias, but we think Florida has some of the best seafood in the country. Our wild market fish option varies depending on what’s available from the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic coasts at the time of your event. Whether it’s grouper, snapper, mahi, wahoo, or another regional delicacy, we promise it will be delicious.

5. Request lots of fresh herb and microgreen garnishes

Herbs and microgreens add a colorful and flavorful touch to any dish. We grow and harvest herbs and microgreens year round, so you can count on their availability no matter what time of year your event is held.

4. Add seasonal vegetables

Whether it’s an appetizer, side dish, or main courses, there’s always an opportunity to incorporate seasonal vegetables. Ask us what kind of vegetables you can expect to be available from our farm for a true farm-to-table dining experience.

6. Indulge in our Farm Egg Crème Brûlée station

Our newest dessert station gets a farm-fresh twist by using eggs from our Cinnamon Queen hens. Super fresh eggs make all the difference in this creamy, luxurious dessert. Your guests will love watching the chef brûlée the sugar on top before choosing from a variety of decadent toppings.
